Mexican Independence Day

September 16th is Mexican Independence Day in Mexico.  This is the same type of celebration that we celebrate as 4th of July in the United States.  During the celebration across the country of Mexico, there are different events that happen in each town.  In San Nicolas where YouthReach is located, we partnered with the Mayor to lead the events for this day.  YouthReach led the celebrations by showcasing our program. We had the opportunity to share with the community what we do and the services we provide which include the afterschool tutoring program and the sports program.  From there, we had a group performance demonstrating boxing and also a dance routine. These type of events helps us to affirm our presence in the community as well as being able to share the Good News of Christ.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers!

YouthReach Parade

Juan Ibarra and YouthReach students participate in the parade around San Nicolas, Mexico for Mexican Independence Day.    After the parade that ended at the Plaza, the central location of the town, YouthReach led the program of events.  There were games, skits, and lots of family activities for all to enjoy.
